Odia Sharese Cooper, 39, of New Britain, devoted mother to Zahria and Jonnay, beloved daughter of Rosella (Cooper) Michaud and her stepdad, Melvin Michaud, entered into God's care on Wednesday, January 22, 2014.
Odia was born at St Francis hospital in Hartford, CT on March 2nd 1974. She was an outgoing child and had a lot of little friends. She had a little puppy and she would pay her friends cookies to clean up behind the puppy. In elementary school, when she was bullied, her Mother told her to kick the kid's butt so they wouldn't bother Odia anymore.Odia did just that! She lifted up her foot and kicked them in the butt, and they didn't bother her any more! She loved to take toys apart and put them back together so she could see how things worked. She was very smart like that. Odia obtained her Associates and Bachelors degree at Phoenix and was actively pursuing her Masters in Criminal Justice. She enjoyed fashion and different hairstyles and she attended beauty school in Winston Salem, North Carolina.
Family and friends are invited on Saturday, February 1, 2014 from 12pm-1pm for a time of visitation, followed by her Service of Remembrance at 1:00pm at New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain. For directions, viewing her video tribute or sending a message, please visit www.newbritainsagarino.com.
