

Paul J. Sirko Jr., 74, of Kensington, widower of Sharon (Kendzior) Sirko since 2004, entered peacefully into eternal rest on Saturday, February 4, 2012. Paul was born on January 12, 1938 in New Britain and was the son of the late Katherine (Matava) and Paul J. Sirko Sr. Paul resided in Kensington for the past 37 years. He graduated from New Britain High in 1956 and proudly served in the U.S. Army-Corp. of Engineers. He was a tool & die designer by trade and had been formally employed by the Stanley Works, Landers, Frary & Clark, General Electric, Veeder Root, Emhart Corp., Grosite Corp., Jacobs Manufacturing and most recently B & F Tool Design.
A loving husband, father and grandfather, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially when it included; fishing, taking care of small projects in the house and yard work. He also shared his enthusiasm for his sports teams, like the NY Giants, Red Sox and UConn men and women’s basketball. He enjoyed watching his TV shows; Animal Planet, various hunting and fishing shows and the military channel, while his beloved pet "Molly" kept him company.
He is survived and will be dearly missed by his son, Steven M. Sirko of Kensington, daughter, Paula S. Izabel and husband Mark of Enfield and his grandchildren: Samantha Sirko, and Dan and Lauren Izabel. He is also survived by his sister: Lillian Danek of Rowe, MA and extended family. Paul was also predeceased by his brother, John Sirko.
