Purina “Pearl” Theresa (Piclardi) Dobek, 87, daughter of Eugenio and Cesira (Gilebbi) Piclardi passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday (May 19, 2013). She was born Feb. 6, 1926 in New Britain, CT where she retired from the Fafnir Bearing Co.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.
She is survived by her much loved husband Edward “Lindy” Dobek and his daughters Donna Dobek and Jayne D’addabbo and her children Jay and Richard; Pearl’s devoted daughter Carol A. Sinicrope and her beloved son Bruce Gelazin Sr. for whom she dedicated the last 30 years of her life; her brother Peter Piclardi and her sister Micki Beatly.
Pearl is also survived by her 3 grandchildren, Stacie Tierinni and her husband Jeffrey, Natalie Sinicrope Singer and her husband Brooks and Bruce J. Gelazin Jr.; her five great-grandchildren, Kyle, Riley, Gabriella, Tenley Pearl and Capri and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date. Memorial donation in Pearls honor may be made to the Susan G. Koman for the Cure or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
