Ronald B. Palumbo

He was born June 5, 1945 in New Britain to James and Mary (Pezzone) Palumbo. He was employed by Sage Allen as a Regional District Manager until his retirement. Ron was very proud of his membership in the New Britain Auxiliary Police, Lords Club, YMSAC and as a volunteer for the Leukemia Society.

He loved spending time with family, “cowboy movies”, tag sales, breakfast at CJ’s, lunch at LaRosa’s with the Lords Alumni, and walking his loyal dog, Dutchess.

Ron is survived by two sons, Ronald Carey of New Britain and Jeffrey Palumbo and his wife Stacey of Newington, two daughters, Robin Carey of Newington and Tracey Baumgarten and her husband Ken of Pennsylvania, two step-children, Robert Johnson and Laura Lynn Johnson of New Britain, three brothers and their spouses, Jim and Pat Palumbo of Berlin, Gary and Lynn Palumbo of Florida and Nick and Laurel Palumbo of Florida, 16 grandchildren, 16 grandchildren, Kristin and Sarah Petrucci, Samantha, Patrick and Jason Lentini, Alyssa and Tyler Palumbo, David and Ashley Vitali, Giovanni and Justin Baumgarten, Gregory Harkless, Vanessa Rainey, Tyler, Ariana and Alora Johnson and a great grandson, Jeremy Alicia and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will begin Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 9:00am from New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain followed by the funeral liturgy at 10:30am in St. John the Evangelist Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
