

Stanislawa Sawko, 79, of New Britain, passed away peacefully on May 26th, 2011 at Bojnowski Manor, with her loving sister by her side. She was born October 29th, 1931 in Poland, to the late Franciszek and Rozalia Sawko.
“Stasia” as she was called, made her home in New Britain for the past 39 years. She was employed by the Budney Co. retiring in 1997. A proud Catholic, she was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church. Close to her mother, she cared for her in her later years. Devoted to her family, especially her nieces and nephew, she was always there to offer her love and support and her incredible ability to fix anything. A talented seamstress, she enjoyed knitting and sewing for her friends and family. Stasia had a wonderful sense of humor, she loved making people laugh. She will be most remembered for her kindness and energy for life.
Stasia will be dearly missed by her devoted sister, Barbara Napierkowski and her husband Roman of Forestville; her nieces, Beata Mihulka and her husband Adam of Westminster, MD, Agnes Santoro and her husband Jason of Wakefield, MA, Boguslawa Chwiecko and her husband Jozef of Waszilkow, Poland; her nephew, Tom Napierkowski of Naples, FL; her grand nieces and nephews, Dariusz and Bogdan Chwiecko, Krys, Olivia and Jakub Mihulka and Emma and Gianna Santoro. She is predeceased by her sister Leonarda, her brother in-law Wictor and her nephew Marion Rutkowski all in 1987.
Funeral services will begin 8am on Tuesday, May 31st, at the New Britain Memorial Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, followed by the funeral liturgy at 9:30am at Sacred Heart Church, 158 Broad St, New Britain. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation hours will be Monday, May 30th, at the funeral home from 5 to 8pm.
