Alice M. Lehan

Alice Lehan (nee DeGrushe) of West Haverstraw, NY, 74 years old, passed away peacefully on July 19th, 2016. Alice lived in New City, NY, for 30 years and in Haverstraw for the last 18 years. She was born on November 4th, 1941 to George and Lucille DeGrushe and graduated from St. Brendan’s High School, Brooklyn, NY. She married the love of her life, John, in 1961. Alice was devoted to her family and was a friend to all. She is survived by her son John (Tammy), her daughters Denise Lehan and Laura Barone (Vincent). Alice is also survived by her brother, Robert DeGrushe and sister, Noreen Cullen; her grandchildren, John, Shannon and Richard Lehan; Isabella, Anthony, Vincent and Christopher Barone; as well as her many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, John and son-in-law, Vincent. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

Family will receive friends on Friday, July 22nd from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, 10am, St. Francis of Assisi Church, West Nyack, NY, followed by interment at the Cemetery of the Ascension, Monsey, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the United Hospice of Rockland, 11 Stokum Lane, New City, NY 10956.
