

side at Montgomery Nursing Home. She was born on October 26, 1959 in Philadelphia, PA., to
her predeceased parents Andre’ (2011) and Felice (2021) Verhillle.
Andrea battled health issues since she was a young child, starting with Diabetes, which caused her to become legally blind. She is a breast cancer survivor, and also had a kidney transplant, which her son Andrew, donated to her. Although she fought so many ailments, and being sick for many years, Andrea continued to live her life as good as she was able to, and never felt sorry for herself.
Andrea is a graduate of Nyack High School, and attended Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, NY where she studied Biology. She then worked for Rockland Psychiatric Center in Orangeburg, NY as a Social worker, which was her one and only job she had since completing College. Andrea’s greatest passion was listening to Motown oldies music and 80’s Disco music, which she loved to dance to. She also loved to spend time with her beloved grandson, Andrew Jr. which was her pride and joy.
Andrea is survived by her 3 sisters: Susanne Schwartz (Robert), Jacqueline Preti (Dean), Carol Lanfrit (Ed), 2 Brothers: Michael Verhille (Dawn), and Stephen Verhille. Her son Andrew Verhille, and grandson Andrew Jr. Verhille. She is also survived by 9 nephews and nieces, and her late nephew Steve Schwartz (2018).
The family will receive friends on Thursday October 7, 2021 from 10AM to 1:00PM at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home, New City, NY with a Service at 1:00PM at the Funeral Home to celebrate Andrea’s life. Her burial will be private and at a later date.
