Angelina R Torrellas

Angelina Rose Torrellas passed away peacefully December 25, 2019 surrounded by her loving family in New Port Richey, Florida. Angelina was born on September 28, 1933 in the Washington Heights section of Manhattan to Francisco Leale and Angelina Arena. She resided in Washington Heights until moving to Suffern, NY in 1988, and then moved to Palm Harbor, FL in 1999. Angelina was an avid bingo player and enjoyed watching the Hallmark channel, and classic movies. Angelina was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose greatest joy came from spending time with her family.

Angelina is survived by her beloved children, Louis Torrellas and wife, Julia of Pearl River, NY, James Torrellas and his wife, Mara of Nanuet, NY, Thomas Maher and wife, Erin of Havertown, PA, and Donna Murphy and husband, Michael of New Port Richey, FL. She is also survived by six cherished grandchildren, Allison Fawcett, Jennifer Kenny, Elaina Bishop, Michelle Collis, Cindy Petronella, and Tommy Maher. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her two loving grandsons, Michael Murphy in 2001 and Bryan Murphy in 2019. She is also predeceased by 17 brothers and sisters.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 29th from 3-8 pm at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Services, Inc, 321 S. Main St., New City, NY 10956. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, December 30th at 10:00 am at St. Anthony’s Shrine Church, Nanuet, NY with interment to follow at Madonna Cemetery, Fort Lee, NJ.
