We celebrated  many holidays and birthdays with Anna. Our children will always remember "titi Anna" by her warm laughter. Thinking of you with caring wishes that God will bless you always with His Love.

There was a card I read once that said “An aunt is a double blessing, you love like a parent and act like a friend”
No one better proved that, loved more fiercely or was more fun than our Titi Ann.
She was the one who played with us in the pool for hours when we were little, played with us with our dolls and the only one who could make us feel safe when Mom & Dad couldn't be there.  Even in her final moments when Yvonne & I were trying so hard not to let her see us cry, her concerns were for us and she somehow got the words out clearly enough to say “I'm ok” just so we would stop crying.  So much in every true sense of the words “our other mother”, her last words to me when I told her I would be following right behind her, she looked at me and said “Brenda, you drive too fast” ..  I had to promise her I wouldn't so she wouldn't worry about me and could rest.
She was a fixture in our lives, we were her girls, and she was our Titi, always there to celebrate our milestones, major life moments and to teach us the little things our parents didn't - like how to fight & run if someone grabbed us and how to stand up for ourselves against a bully.  She was a fighter - so strong and independent, and always so protective of our Mom and of us; always giving up her time to take care of us without ever a second thought.  I told my niece Nicole that ever since she was born, I could only hope to be as good of an aunt that Titi was to us.  I learned from the best, and I can only hope be half as good at it as she was.  
I always so proudly spoke of how active she was in her community with her line dancing & other activities.  I never thought of her as elderly - even when we were forced to acknowledge some of those signs were there.  She was a force to be reckoned with and deeply loved by her friends there and family here.  They broke the mold with her and I hope she knows just how much she was loved.
This world was a better place for having her in it.  And now the heavens are a little brighter.  
Now go show Mom those new dance moves you learned.  We'll always love you Titi.
