Anthony Salvatore LaPietra

Anthony Salvatore LaPietra, age 75, passed away peacefully at his home in New City on Monday, November 10, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 22, 1950, in the Bronx, New York, Anthony lived a life marked by dedication, service, and deep love for his family.

A proud veteran of the United States Army, Anthony honorably served his country, exemplifying courage, loyalty, and commitment. Following his military service, he built a successful career at Verizon, where he worked as a technician manager and was respected by all who knew him.

Anthony will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, and the unconditional love he had for his family and friends.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Andrea LaPietra; his son, Anthony, and wife Nancy; his son, Michael, and wife Theresa; and his beloved grandchildren, Anthony (14), Matthew (12), Dominick (10), and Gianna (6).

Viewing will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home in New City.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 17, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Augustine’s Church in New City. Military honors and flower ceremony will follow the church service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a veterans’ organization or Memorial Sloan Kettering in Anthony’s memory.

Anthony will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
