She was born on January 23, 1946, in the Bronx, NY, to Frederick and Kathleen O’Connell.
Barbara is survived by her two beloved daughters, Sabrina and Katari; her sons-in-law, Michael and Brendan; her cherished granddaughter, Annelise; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her devoted husband of 57 years, Edward Salvesen, and her two older sisters, Maureen and Kathleen.
Barbara dedicated her life to her family and to helping others. Family was always at the center of everything she did. She was deeply committed to the China Support Group, where she helped bring together hundreds of families. She will be missed by many and touched the hearts of all who knew her.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, April 16, at 11:30 AM at St. Anthony’s Church, 36 W. Nyack Road, Nanuet, NY.
