Dad, you were always a very wise, funny, Loving & Devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Uncle, Cousin,Brother & friend....
You carried yourself like a lot of those strong & silent type guys we'd often see in the old black and white westerns or drama movies....
There are so many family memories that we've cherished....
The world's fair and the dinosaur exibits in 1964, 
trips we'd take to bike ride out to ferry point park, longer trips to flushing meadow park...
even upstate to Corning NY to see glass made w an up close look at a huge telescope lens....
Teaching me to drive w the station wagon at a very young age and trusting me to put it in the garage w/out scratching the sides...teaching me guitar, how to walk on my hands, push-ups...
getting me books on math, history, science & brain solving puzzles, code breaking to expand my interest & knowledge, and of course comic books to let a young boy read and get lost while discovering new adventures in between the pages...
Even as an older man, you'd join me and my crew when we went multiple times deep sea fishing either to sheepshead bay or maybe down into Jersey...
You always tried to keep your wild son grounded and all of us in the family engaged w learning and different experiences....
These, and so many more great memories will forever be cherished...
It is always difficult to reciprocate the love & these great virtues & efforts back to our parents, all we can do is try to do our best to pass them forward to our children and grandchildren....
You always offered me sound advice, exhibited nothing but love, wisdom and affection for me and our whole family, not so much by words, but through your lifetime actions...
Dad, you were a great Dad and a great friend as well....and for that, I will be eternally thankful & grateful...
You have & will always be loved and be so sorely missed...
Till we meet again.

Growing up carlo and rose would send my sister and I books… Disney always knew it was my favorite.. Prayers are with you through the is difficult time

My father was a Great man in every sense of the word. 
His love, faithfulness and devotion to my mother are what story books are made of. They were married 65 years and were together for many years before. My mother tells stories of him living on the the same block in Manhattan when they were in their teens and how he would walk up and down on the stairs on his hands with his feet in the air to show off in front of her. His dedication, selflessness, sacrifice and kindness on all fronts throughout my life for his family, are too many to name. My dad was also a Patriot and Marine who served during the Korean War and graduated NYU and became employed as a NYS Insurance Examiner and retired after an extensive career. I recall when I was a child, he would have to stuff 6 bicycles inside a station wagon and on the roof to take myself, my 2 brothers and my 3 cousins to a park and the chaos that would then ensue for him the rest of the day. This was a frequent thing. He was very much an intellectual, enjoyed playing chess, reading a book in a day was his norm and workshopping quantitative theories and calculus was something he considered as fun. A common bond he had always shared with my mother was music. Throughout my life to not too long ago, my mother would practice her classical music on the piano and my dad would be next to her with his guitar. My dad’s favorite musician was Neil Diamond, I know every song by heart from just being exposed to them through him singing and playing it on his guitar. Some of my fondest memories I have of him were when we played guitar together, this was a routine for about the past ten years. Throughout my life I have revered my dad. I feel blessed to have had the fortune of being his son. I will deeply miss his sense of humor, his counseling all aspects of his physical presence and I will  take solace in the fact that his spiritual presence will from here on, be a constant in my life and in heaven. LYDad.

My prayers are with my aunt Rose and cousins Michael, Matthew, and Mark during this difficult time. Uncle Carlo will be missed. My Godfather and my friend, uncle Carlo was a  man of integrity who served his country as a Marine, and was admired with love and respect from all his family. Uncle Carlo was always giving advice and a helping hand if needed to anyone in the family.  He will be missed and I will never forget all the advice he gave me and love he shared. Rest in Peace uncle Carlo and God bless the Giraldi family.
