To the Beta Sigma Fraternity brods of Jun Alipit

Good evening, everyone. Good morning to those who are in the Philippines.  
I would like to express my sincere appreciation for having this zoom gathering in order to pay your last homage to your Brother Jun.

You know, the Beta Sigma Fraternity is of utmost importance to Jun, so it is to me. 

Back in the Philippines, Jun opened our house to the Betans as, what you call, the "tambayan" and also as the "place for initiation" of neophytes. In addition, Jun went beyond and welcomed the brods who needed some refuge or respite for the night or even for a week or more. He also offered our place to Brod Horatio “Boy” Morales as one of his campaign centers when he ran for the senate in 1987. Those were Jun’s Betan years back home witnessed by me and our 3 sons. We were just spectators, yet we felt we were part of the events that transpired in that house.

Then, we came to make a very important decision of venturing in foreign lands, first in NZ, then in the USA. When our family arrived here in June of 1990, the NY and NJ Brods and their families welcomed us warmly, making us feel at home immediately.  The brods were always there to help whenever we moved to a different apartment until we finally got our house here in Nanuet NY.

Our children (Vincent, Paul and Dave) and I thank you all for the brotherhood that touched our family's life.  We also give our appreciation for the prayers, words of comfort, sharing in our most difficult moments and this final Betan goodbye. His earthly journey has been accomplished to his best as a husband, a father and grandfather, a Betan and a friend.

Our sincere condolences on the loss of Jun. It was a pleasure to know him and spend time with him when we were still living in Rockland County. We still remember spending time with the family in Las Vegas for the wedding. You are all in our prayers.
