Dolores (Mom) was the center and heart of our home. Her door was always open and all were welcome. At any given time, while stopping at home for a visit, it would not be unusual to find other family members or friends already there. It would often turn into an impromptu party while Mom brought out the food and snacks ready to feed an army if necessary. She was kindhearted and loving with a song in her heart and a smile on her lips.
We wish to thank all of the compassionate and kind Care Partners and staff at Artis Senior Living and Memory Care in Chestnut Ridge, NY. We are so appreciative that they filled Mom’s later days with love and laughter.
We also want to thank United Hospice for their support during Mom’s final days.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 13th from 3pm-8pm at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home on Main Street, New City, NY.Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:30am at St. Augustine’s RC Church, followed by interment at St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Nanuet, NY.
