Raised in a family that included three other sisters and a brother, Dora Georgalas was born in the Bronx to Joseph and Marie Patisso in March of 1921. A graduate of James Monroe High School, she worked for twenty-five years as an executive secretary at SUNY Maritime College. Religious and family-oriented by nature, Dora and her late husband Nicholas were parents to both a son Robert and a daughter Lorna. She is immediately survived by her son Robert, her daughter-in-law Joanne, and her brother George and his family.
A visitation for Dora will be held Sunday, August 6, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will occur Monday, August 7, 2023 at 10:00 AM. A burial will occur Monday, August 7, 2023.
