Edward J. Peskie passed away on June 25, 2015 with his loving family by his side. He was born to Edwin and Harriet Peskie of Yonkers, NY on December 24, 1945. Ed is survived by his wife, Patricia, of Valley Cottage, NY; his son, Edward (Jessica) Peskie of Valley Cottage, and a daughter, Kristin (Greg) Acunto of Nanuet. Proud Pop-Pop to Mia and Mady Peskie and Sean and Anthony Acunto, who were the joys of his life. He is survived by his sisters, Anne Podolski of Yonkers and Nancy Longo of Valley Cottage and predeceased by his sister, Harriet Tartaglione of Yonkers. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Ed joined the Sheet Metal Workers Union at the age of 18. He was elected Business Agent for Local 38 in June 1982 and then appointed International Organizer for the Sheet Metal Workers Union in October of 1990. He was then appointed Regional Director of the Northeast in January of 2000. Ed retired after 42 years of service on January 1, 2006.Visiting will be Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Higgins Funeral Home in New City. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, 10am, at St. Paul's Church in Congers followed by entombment at Ferncliff Mausoleum, Valhalla, NY.
