Edward R. Salvesen, a 44 year resident of Bardonia, NY, passed away peacefully April 15, 2015. Born March 31st, 1933 in Brooklyn, NY to Thorleif and Wilifried Salvesen, Ed was the first born triplet. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Barbara (O'Connell); two beautiful daughters, Sabrina and Katari, his brother William, his sister Ruth Wilhelmsen and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brother Richard. Ed was a true family man, dedicated to his wife and children. The most important thing in his life was his family. Ed served in Korea at age 22 after graduating Hunter College. He obtained his Civil Engineering degree from City College School of Technology and received his P.E. license to practice in the State of New York. Ed worked for the FAA for over 30 years before retiring in the late 90's. A funeral mass will be held at St. Anthony's Parish Church in Nanuet, on Friday, April 24th at 11:30 A.M. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Veterans Service Agency of Rockland County or Hudson Valley Humane Society.
