Edwin Dennis Ebner died peacefully on June 29th surrounded by his loving family. Edwin was born in the Bronx on December 12, 1927 and moved to Rockland Lake when he was 9 years old. A life-long resident, Edwin and his wife Janice built a home in New City in 1954 where they raised 8 children. Edwin owned an electrical contracting business for 42 years. He was an avid inventor and a holder of many patents. He served in WWII and was a member of the American Legion. He was a former fire chief with the Rockland Lake Fire Department and volunteered as an usher at St. Augustine's Church for 36 years.
Edwin will be dearly missed by his wife, Janice and children, Stephanie Brady, Jaye (Tom) Linnin, Dennis (Pam) Ebner, Donna TerBush, Diana (Kevin) Coughlin, Kathleen Ebner, Charlene (Dennis) Rankin, Barbara Ebner, 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Friends may call on Monday, July 1st at Higgins Funeral Home in New City from 4-8pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, 10am, St. Augustine's Church followed by interment at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Nanuet.
