Francis F. Butrico

Francis (Frank) Butrico of New City, NY, passed away suddenly at his home on Sept. 18, 2017; at the age of 75. Frank was born on January 6, 1942 in New York City, to Angelo and Petronella (Lazara) Butrico. Frank had been a resident of New City since 1956. Frank served his country in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1961 and later in the National Guard for many years. He was a graduate of Clarkstown Senior High School. Frank was an avid outdoorsman with an incredible love of hunting and fishing. He was also a lover of animals, especially his dogs, but his greatest love was for his family. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Bernice Butrico; daughter Denise Sullo; his sons Christopher, Brian and Michael, son-in-law Mark Sullo and future daughter-in-law Gina Dauro. he is also survived by his grandchildren, Will Sullo and Isabella Butrico. Frank is predeceased by his parents Angelo Butrico and Petronella Butrico (nee Lazara) and his younger brother Angelo. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Family will receive friends on Thursday from 2-4pm & 7-9pm at Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY. A service will be held in the funeral home on Friday 9/22 at 9:30am. Interment to follow at Fred Loescher Veterans Cemetery, in New Hempstead, Ny.
