John M. Ashe

John Ashe of Rockland, NY, 91 years old, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2025. He is survived by his partner of over twenty years, Leslie Reilly, and his six children (Jean Caputo and husband Joe, Christopher Wolf and wife Barbara, Michael Ashe and partner Michelle Pollack, Robert Ashe and wife Collen, Kathleen Babcock, Patricia Nashelsky and husband Larren). He is also survived by ten grandchildren (Kristen, Matthew, Jesse, Brendan, Owen, Colin, Dillon, Brian, Robbie and Andrew) and two great grandchildren (Griffin and George). He was predeceased in death by his first wife of 11 years Dorothy and his second wife Anne of 29 years.

John was born to Martin and Rose Ashe on February 22, 1934. A graduate of Rice High School he went to Manhattan College (’56) and earned a degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked 37 years with the Port Authority before retiring in 1994. He cherished his time spent with family, especially with his grandchildren at various soccer and baseball games. He was very proud of the adults that they have become.

A funeral mass will be held on October 9th at 10am, at St. Augustine Church, 118 S. Main St. New City, NY. Followed by a burial at George Washington Memorial Park, 234 Paramus Rd. Paramus, NJ.
