Joseph Koenigsberger, 74 yrs. old, was born in Ridgewood, NY and lived in New City for the last 39 years. He passed away on October 4, 2016 and was born on September 30, 1942 to Barbara and Frank Koenigsberger. He graduated from Holy Trinity High School and St. John’s College with a Masters in Tax. Joe served in the US Army as a Medical Specialist and was stationed in Viet Nam in 1963-64. He married Ronnie on June 16,1973. Joe enjoyed hiking in the Adirondacks, antiquing, nature and most of all his beautiful garden. He was a long time sports fan of the NY Jets and Mets. Joe is survived by his wife Ronnie of 43 yrs. and his son Brian. His mother-in-law Stella Stahl, Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law Bill and Loretta Stahl, his niece Suzanne (Bruce) Dannan, their children James and Paige and his nephew Robert Stahl. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the honor of knowing him.
Cremation will be private. Donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
