Joseph John Liggio passed away at the age of 86 on August 29, 2018 after a short illness. He was a resident of Northern Manor Nursing Home. Joseph was born June 4, 1932. He was the son of Mary and William of the Bronx, NY. Brother of Francis, twin brother Anthony, sisters Lillian and Edith, all predeceased. Joe was married to Florence and was the father to Donna, William, and Joey. Grandfather to Joseph, Maria, Peter and Thomas. Godfather to Howard Bragg. Joe was a Korean War Veteran. He was employed as a butcher for over 60 years, he enjoyed his work. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Visiting will be held at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home, 321 S. Main St., New City on Tuesday, September 4 from 4-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 5, 10am at Sacred Heart Church, Suffern. Cremation will be private.
