
Joseph Perciballi passed away on Saturday, September 25, at the age of 89. He was born in Boville, Italy on April 7, 1921 to Enrico and Josephine Perciballi. He was the eldest of five children. He was predeceased by his wife Alba of 56 years, their daughter Stella, and his youngest sister Susan. He is survived by his son Joseph and his wife Christine, his daughter Gloria Dwyer and her husband Dan, and his four loving grandchildren Michael and CJ Perciballi, and Laurie and Daniel Dwyer. He is also survived by three of his siblings: Alexander, Helen, and John. He was a retired Elevator Operator from Majestic Apartments in New York City, where he worked for 43 years. He served in the Civilian Conservation Corps during WWII, and was an avid gardener and wine enthusiast. He was well liked and well respected by all those who met him and will be greatly missed. Family will receive friends on Tuesday at the Higgins FS, New City from 2-4 and 7-9 PM and Wednesday from 2-5 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday evening at 6PM at St. Francis of Assisi Church, West Nyack. Burial will take place Thursday 11AM at St. John's Cemetery, Middle Village, Queens. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
