Joseph Sanchez

Joseph Sanchez, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2025, at the age of 98. His long and remarkable life was defined by his quiet strength, perseverance and unwavering dedication to his family.

Joseph was born in New York City and raised by his step-mother, Juanita. He married the love of his life, Daisy, with whom he shared decades of joy, laughter, and unconditional love. Their bond was a testament to enduring partnership and mutual respect, and their home was always filled with love and laughter.

Joseph is survived by his devoted wife Daisy, his only daughter Linda (and her husband Peter), his cherished grandchildren Michelle (and her husband John) and Frank (and his wife Lisa) and his 4 great-grandchildren, Alex, Peter, Julia and Nicholas. His legacy lives on through them, and through the countless lives he touched with his generosity and grace.

A viewing will be held on Friday September 26th from 4-8pm at Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday September 27th at 10am at St. Paul’s Church on Lake Rd, Congers, NY.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Joseph’s name.
