Juana Soriano (Inay) was called home on March 16, 2025. She was born in the Philippines in 1941 and was the youngest of nine children. She was married in 1963 to the love of her life, Epitacio Soriano. Together they immigrated to the United States with their four beloved children Maricel, Cristina, Rowena and Elizabeth in 1987. Inay was a doting wife, caring mother, and nurturing school teacher. She played a large role in the raising up of her eight grandchildren, Ralston, Jacel, Olivia, Henry, Owen, Mikaela, Melania, and Hannah. She was always steering her grandchildren in the right direction with constant reminders to avoid all things “dangerous.”
Our memories are filled with the love and laughter of Inay, the aroma of her torta, and the flavor of her leche flan. She instilled in her children the importance of praying everyday for everything and we know that she continues to lift us all up in prayer. Her peaceful passing was symbolic of the gentle life she lived which was filled with quiet strength and dignity. Her legacy of love, faith, and devotion will continue to guide and inspire us, as we honor her memory.
Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
