Lillian Esposito

Born and raised in Hartford, Connecticut, Lillian built a life rooted in devotion, strength, and unwavering faith. She spent most of her adult years alongside her beloved husband, Michael, in Highland Mills, New York, where together they raised their family and created a home filled with love and purpose. In retirement, Lillian and Michael embraced new chapters of life in Ormond Beach, Florida, before most recently relocating to Colorado Springs, Colorado, to be closer to their cherished grandchildren.

Lillian was an incredibly strong woman—faithful, selfless, and deeply grounded in her values. Her children, both biological and honorary, were her greatest source of pride, strength, and joy. Family was not just important to Lillian; it was her life’s calling and her lasting legacy. She lived with quiet grace, offering love freely, supporting others without hesitation, and placing the needs of her family above all else.

She was predeceased by her beloved son, Michael Joseph Esposito, whose memory she carried in her heart every day. Lillian is survived by her loving husband of more than 52 years, Michael Esposito; her sisters (in-law) Antoinette Simio and Marie Shilale, her nephews and their families, her devoted daughters, Alison Esposito and Julia Milmore (née Esposito); their families, Lesalea Hurst and Robert Milmore, and her three amazing grandchildren, Liliana, Robbie, and Michael Milmore, who were the light of her later years and the continuation of the love she so generously gave.

A visitation will be held on January 22, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Service, located at 321 South Main Street, New City, NY 10956.

A funeral service will take place at the Church of the Presentation, located at 271 West Saddle River Road, Upper Saddle River, NJ 07458.

Lillian’s legacy lives on in the strength of her family, the faith she embodied, and the countless lives she touched with her kindness, love, and quiet resilience. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
