Mark was a skilled aviator, a certified scuba diver, an avid golfer, and a loyal New York Mets fan. His life was built around the people and the things he loved most. He excelled in every endeavor from volunteer firefighter to business owner and everything in between, while making enduring friendships along the way.
While Mark loved planting and tending to his expansive vegetable garden every spring, his true joy was filling the kitchens of neighbors, friends and family with the bounty of his garden all summer long, a testament to his spirit of generosity.
Of Mark’s many accomplishments, he considered getting his pilot’s license to be his greatest achievement; and, flying was his lifelong dream. At the age of 61, Mark realized his dream of taking to the skies; and, with that, he added to his life a whole new community of friends, namely, the 150th Aero Flying Club.
Mark will be remembered by all those whose lives he touched, family and friends alike, as kind, generous, smart, and just an all-around great guy with a tremendous sense of humor.
