Michael B. Greene of New City, NY died Monday, December 20, 2010. He was 48 years old. Michael was born on November 20, 1962 in Flushing, NY to Brian R. and Arline (Purcell) Greene. He grew up in New City and was a graduate of Clarkstown North (1980) and Binghamton University (1984). Michael was employed as a VP / Commercial Mortgage Loan Officer with Apple Bank for Savings for 19 years. He is survived by his wife, Annemarie (Smith), daughter Kiera, his mother Arline, his siblings Carolyn (Mark) McGoldrick of New Canaan, CT, Diane (John) Faranetta of Sevena Park, MD, Gregory (Lori) Greene of West Nyack, NY and Linda (Joe) Loeper of Glen Mills, PA; also survived by his in-laws, Peter and Eileen Smith of New City, NY, Tom (Deanna) Smith of Rapid City, SD, Eileen (Peter) Dolson of Campbell Hall, NY, Peter (Kathy) Smith of Baldwin, NY and 19 nieces and nephews. Michael is predeceased by his father. Michael was an avid guitar player (Ernie Ball), a NY Giants season ticket holder, and lighting designer/member of Elmwood Play House in Nyack, NY for over 20 years. Visiting hours will be Wednesday, December 22 from 2-4 and 7-9 at Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:15 AM Thursday, December 23 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, West Nyack, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Ocular Melanoma Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
