Myriam and her family were members of the Igelsia Evangelica Unida de Puerto Rico in Humacao where they were faithful. The family moved to Haverstraw when Myriam was sixteen years old, where she attended Haverstraw High School. Prior to finishing high school, she moved to Boston and stayed there until after the birth of her first born, Edna Beatriz Gonzalez. She missed her family so much, that she returned to Haverstraw and began working at Louis Hornick. Two years later, Myriam began working at Letchworth Village; she stayed there until she became ill and retired on disability. Joining Edna, in September 1977, were twin boys, Joshua and Hector Jr. Joshua, passed away two days later. In 1978, the family was complete with Elvis’ birth. Despite her illness, and subsequent diability, Myriam worked, attended church, and raised her children. As woman of God, the lessons she learned in church were carried into the world as anyne who met her could see that she was a woman of faith; the rarerest gem. Myriam joins her parents, sister Loida and infant son in paradise. She is survived by her children, Edna Borge, Hector Montalvo Jr. and Elvis Montalvo. Life partner, Hector Montalvo, son-in-law Marlon and daughter-in-law Chrissy, grandchildren Bianca, Marlon Jr., Jean –Luc, and Nikolaos. Siblings Neftali, Noemi, Juan Eli, Andres, Luis Ernesto and Gamaliel, sister-in-laws Nelly, Alma and Isabel and a host of nephews, nieces, uncles, cousins and many friends.
