Patricia A. Drummond

Patricia Ann Drummond 10/03/1961 – 01/18/2023 It is with tremendous sadness that we share the sudden passing of our beloved sister Patricia A. Drummond on January 18th, 2023. She was born Patricia A. Rinaldi on October 3rd, 1961 at United Hospital in Port Chester, NY to Ann and John Rinaldi. When she was 3 years old her parents divorced and her mom married a wonderful man, Donald Drummond, who adopted her and her two older brothers, John and Tom. She grew up in Port Chester and lived at 264 Willett Avenue. She attended OLM and Edison Elementary schools and graduated from Port Chester Sr. High in 1980. Patti, as all of her friends and family called her, was employed at United Hospital in Food Service for nearly 25 years and enjoyed her time there serving the patients their meals and making friends. After her mother was diagnosed in 1999 with early Alzheimer’s, Patti was her loving full-time caregiver for over 10 yrs. She moved up to Rockland County with her mom in 2006 and after her mom’s passing in 2010, worked as a salesperson at J.C. Penny in the Palisades Mall until it closed. Patti had been a resident of Nanuet, living at the Middlewood Sr. Center Park Apartments since 2019. She loved to care for people and animals alike, especially her cat, Tabitha. She also enjoyed baking, doing crafts, shopping and going out to eat. She is survived by her brothers John Rinaldi and sister-in law Mei from Danbury,CT, Thomas Drummond and sister-in-law Geralyn from Nanuet, and younger brother, Donald Drummond from New Jersey. Her nephews Brandon, Corey, Shane, Lance, Richie, and nieces Mia and Andrea will miss her hugs and bright smile. She loved spending time with her cousins Laurie, Audrey and Steven and their families, they will all miss her infectious laugh. Patti is also survived by her beloved Uncle Tony and Aunt Venera and her sister-in-law Marlene. There will be a wake and memorial service on Thursday, January 26th at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home, 321 S. Main St. in New City, NY. The hours are 3-7pm with a memorial service at 6pm. Please join us to share your stories about Patti.
