

Patricia A Jaffe nee Taggart, was born in NY, NY on November 5, 1935, and went to be with her Heavenly Father on February 22, 2022. She was a longtime resident of the Bronx. She later moved to New Windsor, NY and passed while staying with family in Palm Coast, Fl.
Patricia is survived by her brother Brian Taggart and his partner Gail Butler of New City, NY; her sister in law’s Kathy Taggart of Rockaway, NY and Mary Taggart of Asbury Park, NJ.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband Stuart “Steve” Jaffe and her infant son John. She is also predeceased by her siblings John “Buddy” Taggart and his wife Lillian of Wayne, NY; Mary “Maureen” and her husband John “Jack” Rohan of New Windsor, NY; Ray Taggart of Wall, NJ and Dennis Taggart of Rockaway, NY.
Patricia was a secretary in the ticket office at Yankee Stadium for many years and met many of the biggest stars of the sixties while working there. She also was called to be a contestant on games shows that were taped in NYC. She later began working at Tork in Mount Vernon and remained there until she retired.
Patricia was the favorite Aunt of her 19 nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her niece Kathleen Taggart, nephews Jimmy Taggart and Terry Rohan, niece Eileen’s husband Harold Hikachi and nephew Dennis wife Karen.
Patricia was known for her sense of style and wore heels well into her 70’s, when an ankle break caused her to hang up her beloved heels. She loved to shop for clothes and insisted on color coordinating her shoes and all accessories. She loved to dance and often spoke about going to the weekly parish dances in her youth. You could often find her dancing alone in her apartment to the Bee Gees. She often would get chastised by her neighbors for playing her music too loud.
Patricia will be missed for her story telling and love of life.
Her wake will be held on Monday, March 7, 2022 from 4-8pm at Michael J Higgins Funeral Home in New City. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30am on Tuesday March 8th, at St. Augustine Church in New City. Burial to follow at St. Raymond’s Cemetery, Bronx, NY.
