Rampaire Rosanna Maraj

Rampaire Rosanna Maraj, aka Doodoo, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on December 26, 2025 at the age of 80.

She was born in Trinidad and Tobago on January 19, 1945. She was the third child of Chanderjit Rampersad Mitchell and Jasso Seepersad. Doodoo was affectionately known by her Husband, children and grandchildren as Doodoo Darling, our only sweetheart.

Doodoo married the love of her life Raj Maraj aka “El Toro the Bull” in 1960 and spent 65 beautiful years together. While Raj worked hard as a farmer dedicated to providing for his family, as well as nourishing and providing the necessities for his animals and crops. Doodoo darling, worked just as hard doing the same to build a happy, healthy, and unforgettable life for their 10 children.

Doodoo is survived by her loving husband of 65 years Rajcumar Maraj, children Kenneth Maraj and his wife Susan, Karen (Daughter) Baney and her husband Robert, Nerra (Crystal) Sahadeo and her husband George, Sashi Maharaj and his wife Sharon, Radesh Maraj and his partner Ingrid, Ricky Maraj, Stephanie (Lystra) Huq and her husband Mujahid, Kimberly Gurdon and her husband Ian, as well as her Daughter in law Juliet, wife of Doodoo's late son Curtis. She is also survived by her 18 grandchildren, Jaceson, Terry, Sherryann, Sebastian, Amar, Chrissy, Dillon, Tamika, Sasha, Nicholas, Sachin, Devin, Samir, Jordan, Mohammed, Amani, Alyia, Adam. As well as her 14 great grandchildren; Nathan, Zuri, Emma, Jaxon, Ariyan, Aarin, Emery, Ariya, Kyrah, Amara, Scarlett, Mia, Saraav and Alaia. She is also survived by her siblings, Hannah Lochan, Carmen Maharaj and Roger Mitchell. As well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is predeceased by her brothers; Ramrattan Mitchell, Munilal Mitchell and Boboy Mitchell; as well as her beloved sons Tarin Persaud Maraj and Curtis Maraj.

A visitation will be held at R. Stutzmann & Son, located at 224-39 Jamaica Ave, Queens Village, NY 11428, on December 30, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

The funeral service will take place at the same venue on December 31, 2025, from 8:30 am to 11:30 am.

Cremation will follow at Ferncliff Crematory, 280 Secor Rd, Hartsdale, NY 10530, on December 31, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm.
