

Robert David Morgan of Suffern died suddenly at home on October 31, 2015. He was 67. He was born August 27, 1948, in Suffern to Frank Morgan and Agnes Morgan (McLaughlin). He grew up in West Nyack and graduated from Clarkstown High School in 1966. He attended Tulane University and served two years in Vietnam in the US Navy. He lived for ten years in Sound Beach and Port Jefferson on Long Island before returning to Rockland County where he lived for the next 32 years. He worked for Burns & Roe of Oradell, NJ, as a project manager on engineering jobs that took him around the world. He was the loving husband of his wife Mary Morgan (Carle) who predeceased him in 2012. He was a loving and devoted father of Sarah Morgan of Maplewood, NJ, and Brendan of Harrison, NY. He was a joyful grandfather to Katherine and Elizabeth Dephtereos and Quinn Morgan. He adored his son-in-law Mark Dephtereos and daughter-in-law Alexis Harrigan. He is also survived by his brother Frank Morgan (Dorothy) of Stony Point; his sister Sharon Beadle of Wallkill; sisters-in-law Barbara Morgan of Spring Valley and Carol Morgan of Plattekill; brothers-in-law Peter Carle (Margie) of Pearl River; Paul Carle of Newport, RI; Patrick Carle (Elizabeth) of New City; Matthew Carle (Nancy) of Pearl River; Martin Carle (Shannon) of Garnerville; Christopher Carle of Boston, MA; Gerard Carle of Nanuet; Eugene Carle of Congers; Vincent Carle (Angela) of Pearl River; Joseph Carle of Nanuet; and Harry Carle (Jacqueline) of Nanuet. He also leaves behind dozens of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers George Morgan of Spring Valley and Jack Morgan of Plattekill. Bob was a joy to all who knew him and brought laughter to everyone he met. Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, 10am, at St. Anthony’s Shrine Church, Nanuet, followed by interment at St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
