Rodney Locke passed away on June 10, 2012 at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was 86. Rodney was a lifelong resident of Rockland County. Born in Valley Cottage, NY on February 3, 1926 to Alice and Leonard Locke. Rodney attended Nyack High School and served his country proudly with the United States Navy 141st USNCB during World War 2. Rodney was a self-employed home improvement contractor and resident in New City for over 62 years. Rodney is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn (Johnson) Locke; 1 son, Steve Locke and his wife Annette; 2 grandchildren, Brian and Danielle. He is predeceased by his brother, Edward Locke, and 2 sisters, Loretta and Dorothy. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY (321 South Main Street, 10956). Religious services will be held on Wednesday, 11am, at the funeral home, followed by interment at Germonds Cemetery in New City.
