Rose C. Killerlane, 74, of New City, New York passed away on December 3, 2020. She was born in Brooklyn, New York to the late James Joseph & Madeline Catherine (Savage) Killerlane on February 17, 1946.
She is predeceased by her loving brother and best friend James Joseph Killerlane. She was a lifelong educator, graduating from St. Josephs College for Women in Brooklyn, New York and obtaining her Masters Degree from St. Johns University. Besides teaching, she also dedicated her life to help care for her father, mother and brother until their passing.
Rose was the beloved Aunt and dear friend to her nephew James J. Killerlane, III and her niece Christina M. Killerlane and husband Michael Budnick, and as well as to her former sister in law Carole J. Killerlane. She was the beloved god-mother to Kateri Volpe, and she absolutely adored her great nephew Jax Budnick.
She is survived by her many lifelong best friends and cousins. Anyone who knew our Aunt knew how loving, loyal, and giving she was, even though on occasion she could be quite stubborn. She was quite smart and well-read and could truly have a conversation about anything. She will truly be missed.
Unfortunately due to COVID-19, the arrangements will be limited to only her immediate family, but we will plan a celebration of her life in the spring or early summer to celebrate the wonderful person and life of a true friend, and a loving, giving, remarkable woman.
