Terence Anthony Galligan

Terry was born May 10, 1933 in Bronx, NY., the first son and third child of Terence and Daphne Galligan. Terry attended Saint Nicolas of Tolentine schools where he exceled in both academics and athletics. Upon graduation in 1951, Terry enlisted in the United States Navy and after completing Naval Electronics School in Great Lakes, Illinois, he was appointed to serve aboard the U.S.S. Hailey, until his honorable discharge. After returning home, Terry embarked on what would become a distinguished 50 year career with the New York Telephone Company. Terry concurrently recommenced his academic pursuits. He attended Manhattan College, graduating in 1962 with a B.B.A and was awarded the Charles T. Lighte Medal for accounting. He then proceeded to the Bernard M. Baruch School of Business where he earned an M.B.A.

Terry is survived by his cherished wife of 52 years, the former Monica Keane, their adoring son Terence and his wife Sunra, as well as his sister Mary Power. He is predeceased by his sister Catherine Morrissey and brother Daniel.

Terry was a beacon of joy to all who knew him. He reveled in the company of others and delighted in their happiness. Terry treasured his friendships, many of which were cultivated from Tolentine and some of which have lasted over eight decades. Although he is no longer with us, his joy for life will live within our hearts forever.
