Tom's beautiful blue eyed girl
57 years ago I gave you a gift at the altar.... a wedding ring
From then on you gave me gift after gift...
Liz, Tommy, Margret and Katie - our wonderful children
They awarded you with more gifts Kaitlyn, William, Kalina, Danny and John our beautiful grandchildren
Now I sit never again to have our Sunday night conversation "Take out the garbage" or our Monday night "Recycling tonight, take it out"or Wednesday "Pick up milk and bread before you come home"or the usual "Put the clothes in the hamper" or the ever popular "Don't leave your coffee mug in the bathroom" followed by "Get a haircut"
Never again, will I hear "Tom, I love you" or that I make you "so happy" or get to ask you where you want to go today and hear you say "I don't care as long as you hold my hand"
Ginny worked for 25 years as Food Service Supervisor at New City Elementary for Clarkstown School and was well known for her infamous grilled cheese sandwiches.
She knitted and crafted every day of her life and was known to say "If I'm sitting then I'm knitting" She belonged to many arts and craft groups and knitting groups throughout the years in New City. She made baby blankets and quilts and donated many to those babies in need.
I can’t tell you how many times we would be in bed and I would reach over for a hug and get accidentally stabbed in the chest with her knitting needles. She'd say "Don't bleed on the yarn"
Oh my beautiful girl 13 years of suffering with dementia and Alzheimer and you left in calmness, peace and no pain. Thank you Joe Raso Hospice house and the entire caring staff as I sit here crying as I write this I can only think
YOU CAME, YOU LOVED, YOU LAUGHED, YOU LEFT
