William Lynch Jr.

Born and raised in the Highbridge neighborhood of the Bronx. He was a man who proudly served for our country in the U.S. Marine Corp as well as an NYPD police officer in the 34th precinct and retired as an special investigator for insurance fraud.

He is pre-deceased by his wife of 34 years, Joan, his younger brother, Robert and his parents William James and Mary Ellen. He is survived and will be forever missed by his devoted daughters Kristin Lynch, Tricia (Sandy) DeLeon, Jennifer (Daniel) Lynch - Andre and Meghan Lynch. His sisters, Kathleen Zanke, Barbara Lynch, Mary (James) Gallo, and Dorothy (John) Schwint . His grandchildren, William John Lynch, Grace and Christopher DeLeon, Daniel, Andrew, Anthony and Joanna Andre. As well as many beloved nieces and nephews from both the Lynch and McHugh families.

William, also known as Bill or "the Bull" lived honorably by the values he instilled in his family of love, loyalty and friendship. Whether you were a lifelong friend or an acquaintance, everyone has a "Billy" story that brings so much joy and laughter to our hearts. He will be forever missed by us all.

Visiting hours will be held at Higgins Funeral Home on Main Street, New City on Wednesday September 7th from 3pm- 7pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday September 8th at 10 AM at St. Paul's Church in Congers.
