A new angel have risen  into heaven.. Dave I will miss your sassy comments at Gopher sporting events. The UofM police department sends their love and condolences to the family.

Verily, I beseech thee to forgive the sins of such as have abandoned the physical garment and have ascended to the spiritual world.
O my Lord! Purify them from trespasses, dispel their sorrows, and change their darkness into light. Cause them to enter the garden of happiness, cleanse them with the most pure water, and grant them to behold Thy splendors on the loftiest mount.

Lived with Dave in the early 70's in a big house on Harriet Ave in south Minneapolis along with Mike and Joel.  Dave was a remarkable guy He had a good sales job and drove himself to work every day. He liked to have a good time with everyone he met. We had parties at our house, went to fun  bars and restaurants and occasionally played a little poker  with the guys. And he was really funny, and loved to needle people  especially  ones that didn't take it well.Later on he bought a house in Crystal and we would spend time there watching sports  and catching up on our lives. I used to see him at Gopher basketball  games once in a while. And my wife Yvonne  always exchanged Christmas cards and a holiday phone call with Dave. We celebrated with him at his 65th birthday  party. And Mike and I  saw him last summer at his house. Will really miss Dave but certainly  have great  memories  of him



I have lots of memorable moments with Dave from the old days.: grinding wheels, the Viking, the Joint, 26th and 16th, 26th and Harriett, Thanksgiving in LA, New Year's Eve at 5701. Wow - a good housemate and a good friend.

I first worked with Dave at Ansari Abrasives, and then again at PolyTech.There are so many stories- most of which aren't appropriate for this site. He was an endless prankster, and could tell a great story. I remember one of our co- workers coming out of the bathroom with about 10 feet of toilet paper trailing from his shoe. There was nothing Dave could do to top that. But he was laughing so hard he just quivered in his chair.

Dave and I and my wife became good friends about forty five years ago.  He and Terence Hanson were great fishermen.   I like to think of the time we were fishing on Washington Lake in tremendous hot weather. We fished from 7:00 am to about 6:30pm . The heat never bother either one of the them a bit. Litttle did they know they were in danger from another fisherman in that boat wondering when they were going to give it up.
We had some great times fishing together.


I've known Dave for over 40 years. Dave was one of a kind. Always a smart remark, with a rapier wit. He will be missed. God Bless...
