She was born on June 29th, 1933, and graduated from St. Anthony High School in 1951. She met her husband on a blind date in January 1954, he proposed in February of 1954, and they were married in September of 1954. Together they raised four children, Mike (Deb) Kilpatrick, Kathy Kilpatrick, Shari (Chuck) Kauffmann, Patty (Doug) Carlson.
Their family grew to include five grandchildren, Kevin (Ashley), Molly (Justin), Matthew (Monica), Katie (Buck), and Melody (Curt); and eight great-grandchildren, Sean and Addison, Rylee, Ethan, and Erin, Eloise and Reid, and Marcus, who will make his appearance December 2020.
Rose Marie lived a full and varied life with so many memories, experiences and adventures. She was a stay at home mom for most of her childrens' childhood. She worked several jobs as needed. She retired after 17 years as head cashier/bookkeeper for Country Club Grocery Store on Bass Lake Road. She enjoyed volunteering at St. Raphael's Church where she was a lifelong member. She enjoyed working the soup suppers, as a eucharistic minister, and running bingo at the church festival. Her motto in life was Faith, Family and Friends - the three F's.
Their oasis away from home was Pathfinder Village where they spent 40 years enjoying campfires, Christmas in July, cul-de-sac potlucks & many, many special times with family & friends. They made life-long friends who were part of their many Pathfinder shenanigans. Bob (Sue) Voeller never ended a campfire without the signature Pathfinder farewell: Now it's time to say goodbye to all our company. M-I-C, see you real soon! K-E-Y, why? because we love you! M-O-U-S-E.
We want to thank Phil Keane (one of mom's closest friends) for all her help and support, especially this last year. Their friendship spans over 40 years. where they were shopping partners, volunteers at St Raphael's Church, family/kids/house organizers and they always celebrated St Patrick's Day.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Ed Kilpatrick; her brothers, Carl (Edith) Ludwig and Richard Anderson; her sister, Kay (Florian) Bray; sister-in-law, Mary Kilpatrick; and brother-in-law, Jerry Kilpatrick. She is survived by two sister-in-laws, Lucille Anderson and Marilyn Kilpatrick; and many nieces and nephews, who she often told they were her favorites.
