Tim King was born February 27, 1947 and he loved life. God has always been a part of his life and Tim grew closer to Him in his final months. He was baptized in July to profess his faith in Jesus and it was very important to him to show his love of God.
Tim’s family is unique in its closeness. If the kids (Dan, Sarah or David) were together, Tim and Dana were there. Our family increased with Dan’s marriage to Stacy and Sarah’s marriage to D. We got granddaughters from them too! Karissa was born August 24, 2008, Kailee was born April 15, 2011 and Amorae joined the family with Sarah’s marriage to D. Tim loved all his “girls.’ The girls brought him so much happiness and many smiles. We were together during the week and every weekend. That closeness helped in Tim’s care. We all took care of him. Our love increased during the difficult time of taking care of him. He was the leader in the family and made the executive decisions. He was happiest when he was with anyone in the family.
Tim’s family did not just include his immediate family. He loved his sisters Michele (Dan), Julie (Fay), Donna (Charlie), Karen and his brother Keith (Patty) and all of their family. He has many nieces and nephews and even great nieces and nephews. It was very important to Tim that we kept in contact with them and kept up family traditions. The number one tradition is our Scandinavian Christmas Eve dinner. Second is the three verses for Happy Birthday, last verse is from Tim! They also helped with his care and he felt closer to them because of it. He loved you all.
Tim’s last job as Property Manager for the Willow’s was the job he loved above all others. He received Manager of the Year award that is coveted by all Property Managers. He was so proud of the Willow’s staff and all that they accomplished. He was very close to the owners and staff and cared deeply for them. It was very hard for him to have to retire because of his ALS.
