Helen S. Schnaars

Helen (Sicinski) Schnaars, 92, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2016. Mrs. Schnaars was born in Long Island, NY and resided in Virginia Beach since 1988. She was preceded in death by her husband George Francis Schnaars. Survivors include her eight children, John Sicinski, Barbara Walsh and husband Robert, Cathy Quinn and husband William, Michael Sicinski and wife Denise, Patricia Robinson and husband Barry, Joseph Sicinski and partner Norberto, Mary Dobrow and husband Joel and Richard Sicinski and wife Gina; sixteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Mrs. Schnaars was a 50 year member & ex President of the Manhasset/Lakeville Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Visitation will take place at R. Stutzmann & Son 2000 Hillside Ave. New Hyde Park, NY on Saturday & Sunday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral mass Monday 11am St. Josaphat's RC Church in Bayside. Interment to follow at Long Island National Cemetery in Farmingdale.
