We are all deeply saddened by the sudden and tragic loss of Christian and Nicholas. The Carmelite Nuns in Mobile light a candle for a safe journey when family and friends leave for home.  I lit a candle for Christian and Nicholas when I learned of their deaths.  It burned for the rest of the day, throughout the night, and into Thursday.  I watched it Thursday morning as it slowly dimmed and gently went out, and I knew that they were home, they were safe.

May Our Lord and Father give you comfort and peace. I taught both of your sons and they were a blessing to me. Your family will be in my prayers daily as you go through the grieving process. I will miss the boys, and I am sure they are in heaven looking down as your special angels.

My heart is very heavy for the pain that your family is feeling.  I am a parent of a teenager and when I heard what happened I broke down at work because I could not even imagine having to go through this.  I prayed then and I continue to pray for all. May God open his arms and help carry you during your trial.  May he give you the comfort that you need and let you know that you are not in this alone.  Always remember you have your own special Angels around you and let them give you signs that they are with you always.  In Gods name .  Amen.

I have a son his age, and it brings me to tears thinking of the pain you feel.  I cannot provide words to take your pain away, but I will pray that you find solace in the memories, love and emotions that only you are privy too. Clay and Peggy, I don't know either of you are young men. I have 2 young men also. To hear such a tragedy saddens my heart. Especially so young and full of hope. May god be with your family at the time of your despair.

I am so saddened to hear about the loss of your son, Christian who is one of my own cousins. We are such a large family and some of us do not even know each other. I am Uncle Dolze Peltier's grand daughter. My grandfather and Uncle Clay Sr. were brothers. Having experienced the lost a son of my own in 2013 I feel the pain that lies deep within your hearts. I could not even begin to imagine what the pain of losing two son's at the same time must be like. Please know that I am holding all of you close in my heart at this time and in my prayers. My prayers are with you and your family at this tragic time. As a mom and a teacher in New Iberia, the loss of a young person is always incredibly difficult to understand.
