

NEW IBERIA – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Mrs. Albert Belliveau, the former Edith Bourque, age 102, at 11:00 am Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church with Fr. Edward Duhon officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Family Mausoleum.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until 10:30 am on Saturday at Evangeline Funeral home.
A native and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Belliveau passed away at 4:45 pm on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at New Iberia Manor South Nursing Home.
Mrs. Belliveau was a member of Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church Children of Mary and was a catechism teacher many years ago at St. Peter’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed and spent a great deal of time crocheting for her family and friends and also enjoyed gardening.
She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Caulking of New Iberia and Barbara Johnson and husband Carl of St. Joseph, MO; five grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Belliveau; parents, Ophey and Emile Rogers Bourque; three brothers, Ophelias “Pie” Bourque; Junius Bourque and Charles Bourque; four sisters, Editha Verret, Olita Bernard, Olite Trahan and Edmae Mouton; three grandchildren, Daniel, David and Stephen Cauliking and her son in law, Floyd Caulking.
Pallbearers will be Carl Johnson, Michael Caulking, CJ Bernard, Jerry Courville.
