

Memorial services will be held at a later date for Edwin “Ed” Dubois, 88, who passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at The Carpenter House in Lafayette. He will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Dubois was born on October 3, 1935, in Abbeville, LA, to the late Masucle and Enita Vidalier Dubois and was one of fourteen children.
A longtime resident of New Iberia, he dedicated many years of his life as a survey manager. His contributions in this role have left a lasting impact, and he will be remembered not only for his familial connections but also for his professional achievements.
In his leisure time, Mr. Dubois enjoyed playing pool and had a passion for the outdoors. He found joy in deer and hog hunting, as well as fishing. These hobbies reflected his appreciation for nature and the simple pleasures of life.
The memorial services will provide an opportunity for friends and family to celebrate his life, remembering the diverse interests that made him the unique and cherished individual he was.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his loving children, Michael Dubois and wife Ann; Sharon Lemoine and husband Bobby; Cindy Dubois, Karen Meaux and husband Carl and Lisa Dugas; twelve grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Broussard Dubois; daughter, Patricia Bonin; granddaughter, Ashley Duplantis; great grandson, Ashton Deshotel; three sisters, Marie Adea Dubois, Mae Rose Dubois and Marie Louise Dubois and five brothers, Minos Dubois, Dominic Dubois, Ernest Dubois, Armand Dubois and Paul Dubois and five infant siblings.
The family would like to send a heartfelt Thank You to Traditions Hospice, especially his nurse, Chelsie Freyou and Kirstren Broussard, account executive, for guiding them every step of the way; as well as to The Carpenter House for assisting in his comfort for his final hours of life.
