Eric "Rickey" Mitchell LaBiche

NEW IBERIA – A gathering of family and friends will be held for Eric “Rickey” Mitchell LaBiche, age 63, at Evangeline Funeral Home on Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm. Inurnment will immediately follow at Holy Family Mausoleum. Deacon Wade Broussard will officiate at the service.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Eric passed away at 4:59 pm on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Iberia Medical Center.

Eric was born of July 5, 1958 to the late Albert Jules LaBiche, Sr. and Marie Junta Comeaux in New Iberia.

He enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends. Eric loved being outdoors surrounded by nature, camping and fishing.

He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his children, Justin P. LaBiche; Erica L. LeBlanc and husband Kyle and Cameron M. LaBiche and wife Amber; six grandchildren, Brittany LaBiche, Austin LaBiche, Collin LaBiche, Nicholas LeBlanc, Tucker LeBlanc and Cruz LeBlanc; two great grandchildren, Payton LaBiche and Legend Perez and three brothers, Terry James LaBiche and wife Anna; David Lynn LaBiche and wife Laura and Albert J. “AJ” LaBiche, Jr. and wife Terri.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Delcambre LaBiche; his mother, Marie Junta Comeaux and his father, Albert Jules LaBiche, Sr.
