Glo was born in Delcambre on November 28, 1940, one of eight children to the late Linwood Delcambre and the late Eula Cormier and raised by her stepmother, the late Mable S. Delcambre. She attended high school at New Iberia High School.
Gloria was a homemaker for several years raising her three children. In the early years she stayed active in her support of the schools her children attended, serving as a member and past President of the Pesson Elementary PTA and a Band Booster. Later in life, Gloria worked at KMART where she eventually retired. She then became employed as a cook for the Iberia Parish School Board working most of her years at North Street Elementary until her retirement. Gloria also spent many years working for the Iberia Parish Clerk of Court’s Office as an election commissioner, and truly enjoyed her time with her fellow commissioners and greeting all the voters.
Outside of her work, Glo enjoyed sewing and being with the people she loved most...her family. Her children shared how great of a cook she was and boasted of her award winning spaghetti, and the best roast beef in all of New Iberia. She loved feeding her family and often fed extended family and friends of her children. It was what she loved doing.
Glo's beautiful smile and loving heart has left an everlasting impression on the hearts of everyone she loved and her legacy will certainly live on. Rest well for we will be reunited again. We love you.
Gloria is survived by her children, Frank Stoltz (Claudette), Karen Stoltz Boudreaux (Eric) and Eric Stoltz; her grandchildren Lane Boudreaux (Dusti), Trent Boudreaux (Christin), Derrick Stoltz (Shelly), Brennan Stoltz (Brittney), Austin Stoltz (Macie), Christopher Stoltz (Jewel), Sarah Stoltz and Ashlyn Rosales (Chris) ; her great grandchildren, Jardyn Boudreaux, Kamille Boudreaux, Emmie Anne Boudreaux, Carson Stelly and Esmeralda Rosales.
