November 19, 1967, Judy married her high school sweetheart, Lane Michael LeBlanc, whom she shared 56 beautiful years with. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Judy’s life was characterized by simplicity, as she and Lane led a humble existence that embraced the richness of family, friends, and togetherness.
Like her father and grandfather, she was an entrepreneur. After graduating from New Iberia Senior High she became a hairdresser, then later joined her family business for 18 years. Judy then went on to open Shane’s Mini Mart with her husband.
Judy will be remembered as a very caring person who enjoyed providing for others.
She was a great cook who loved preparing treats like pralines and homemade Bouille pies (Custard Tarte Pie).
After retiring, Judy was able to do what she loved most, playing Poker. In 2014 she was classified as one of the top 10 women poker players on the Gulf Coast “Poker Queen”.
She was a beautiful person inside and out, always positive and smiling. Her family will forever remember her for her faithfulness, strength, and courage and the love she had for them.
She will truly be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her.
