

NEW IBERIA – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Kathryn DeHart Hebert, age 88, at 11:30 am Saturday, April 29, 2017 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church with Fr. Alexander Albert officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday at Evangeline Funeral Home.
A native and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Hebert passed away at12:30 pm on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at her residence.
Mrs. Hebert served as a Eucharistic Minister and Lecture at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and volunteered her time at St. Francis Diner. She was most recently a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church.
Mrs. Hebert also enjoyed working in her yard, sewing and crafts.
She is survived by her sons, Matthew “Matt” David and wife Brenda of New Iberia; Chris Hebert of Redding, CA; Robert Cain of Las Vegas, NV and Craig Cain of Alexandria; her daughters, Kay Cain Fuqua of Leesburg, FL and Gwen Hebert Currie of Houston, TX; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Frank J. David; Charles E. Cain and J.E. “Cook” Hebert; parents, William Irby and Ruth Boutte DeHart and two brothers, Jessie DeHart and William Dehart, Jr.
Pallbearers will be members of the family and friends.
