

NEW IBERIA – Funeral Services will be conducted for Mr. Louis Howard Frioux, age 80, at 2:00 pm Monday, January 9, 2012 at Evangeline Funeral Home with Msgr. Richard Greene officiating. Interment will be held at Holy Family Cemetery with military honors by VFW Post #1982.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Sunday with a Rosary at 6:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Monday until service time.
A native of Loreauville and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Frioux passed away at 6:35 am on Friday, January 6, 2012 at Iberia Medical Center.
Mr. Frioux served his country honorably during the Korean Conflict as a member of the United States Army.
Mr. Frioux was employed at Texaco for more than 30 years as a surveyor; upon his retirement he began to work at Paul’s Flower Shop where he put smiles on people’s faces as he delivered flowers for more than 20 years.
He was a very kind and loving man who enjoyed spending time with his family. They will miss him dearly and cherish his memory forever.
He is survived by his daughters, Lory Landry and husband Chris and Dana Frioux of New Iberia; one son, Steven Frioux and wife Kristie of Bellville, Illinois; three grandchildren, Korrie Buteaux, Taylor Landry and Regan Frioux; three brothers, Rivers Frioux of Groves, TX, Carroll Frioux of Houston, TX and Richard Frioux of Loreauville; and two sisters, Mae Belle Thibodeaux of New Iberia and Mary Jane Dye of Stafford, VA.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Strickler Frioux; parents, Paul and Anna Bonin Frioux; one daughter, Dana Kaye Frioux; two sisters, Alice Boudreaux and Edith Durand and one brother, Perry Frioux.
Pallbearers will be Chris Landry, Richard Frioux, Charles Lebouef, Fred Gary, Jsaon Delcambre and Kent Delcambre.
